The Idaho Environmental Education Association is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Through the dedicated efforts of our small board, we act as the Idaho state affiliate to the national North American Association of Environmental Education (NAAEE); partner with national, state, and regional partners to present professional conferences and workshops; support and honor excellent environmental educators and their students; share resources through our website, blog, and newsletter; and create a professional network for environmental educators across the state.

We do all this without any paid staff, and a tiny operating budget. How do we make it work? With support from IdEEA members and the larger community!

We’re fast approaching the start of our biggest fundraiser of the year - Idaho Gives! In just four days (May 4-7, 2026), we aim to bring in the funding that will allow us to provide educator mini-grants and awards and support professional development conferences.

You can support our efforts by donating during Idaho Gives this spring, or by becoming a member at any time.

If your passion extends beyond the financial realm, our members are invited to join the work directly through projects in our committees: Communications, Executive/Fundraising, Member Benefits, Partnerships, and Awards & Grants. Or take an even bigger step and apply to be a board member! Board terms run for two years, beginning in March, which means we just welcomed our newest cohort to the team.

You can read all about us and our work on our website and by joining our mailing list. Thank you for your continued support of IdEEA and our mission!
