Project WILD: Growing Up Wild

This is a Professional Development Course for early childhood education that builds on children's sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, "Growing Up WILD" provides and early foundation for developing positive impressions about nature and lifelong social and academic skills. A follow-up assignment is required for credit. The goal of the course is to provide participants with information, material and motivation to expand their application of nature education for early childhood. Early childhood education that incorporates nature play, education, and explorations promotes math, language, and science skills as well as healthy lifestyles.
